Fillmore Country and Revolution Plastics are teaming up to provide free recycling for your ag and silage plastic. Previously, farmers and growers could not recycle bale wrap, bunker covers, irrigation tubing, and other plastics used in agriculture. On March 29, 2017 Friends of the Root River will be hosting a short informational session regarding this new program at the MiEnergy Building (formerly Tri-County Electric) in Rushford.
A light lunch will be provided at noon, followed by our two guest speakers. Wayne Gjerde, Coordinator of Recycling Market Development from the MPCA, will provide details and speak about the importance of this new program. Following will be LaVerne Paulson, from the Fillmore County Recycling program, who will explain upcoming changes that will allow county residents to recycle a greater variety of plastics beyond the current #1 and #2.
This session is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP by March 27 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (507) 467-2157. If you have any questions you can contact us by using the "Contact" link above or using the email address provided.
